They made it official
as sunlight loomed over the horizon
a return to Greenwich Time began
Summer officially over
and thoughts turn to pumpkins, turkeys and candy canes
not forgetting fireworks and festive trees
of course, they don’t happen all at once
just like the leaves don’t all fall to the floor
but as autumns colours fill your eye
and leaves they fall through the sky
its time to wrap up from the cold and keep warm
keeping out of those temperatures below the norm
watching from window, away from the cold
as frosty returns, like days of old
