Crunch

What sounds more autumnal ?

the bubble of porridge as the cold air says hello

or perhaps the crunch of a toasted crumpet

it could be the wind passing through the trees

or maybe it’s the bubble of a Maple flavoured mocha

actually – every kid going to kindergarten knows

its the sound of the Oak, the birch and the Sycamore

as little boots travel over the piles of their leaves
