It’s half past one
on a cold October night
and i’ve just inherited
an attack of the munchies

Cupboard doors
creak and squeak
as outdoor trees sway and bend
in the beam of LED Streetlamps
breaking through the dark
III
Bowl and Spoon wait
for choices to be made
as ring pulls are tugged
and smells of something meaty
fill the air
IV
Crusty Cob
joins silver spoon
in a hunt to find
the tastiest spoonful in
the bowl
V
All Warmed Up
Bowl and spoon are thanked
with a fresh bowl of
Warm soapy water
to take a night time dip
