Skipping Stones

taken from an Octpowrimo idea on PInterest – Hope you like it

You could call it Infantile

but there’s a certain skill

required

to make those flat stones

skip happily on the waters edge

Simply lobbing them into

the water does nothing more

than create an almighty splash

upsetting the wildlife

that live below

Aiming for the ripples

on the waters edge

produces much better results

as they hop , skip or jump

along the surface

And the ultimate goal

as you watch your skipping stone

dance across the waters surface

to get a better number

than your pal joining in
