The Whiff

There was a meeting
in the kitchen
and you were invited
as a last minute guest
potatoes and onions came together
with carrots tomatoes and beef
creating something
tasty like spaghetti
but happily
different
your invitation
coming to you via
the open oven door
and travelling up the stairwell
