the falling rain
a mere obstacle to the prize
that’s ahead
modern day colosseum
cheering modern day heroes
speeding round the track
and while 100 metres seems too short
and 3000 metres seems too long
the 800 metres and 1500 metres seems
a distance worth running
for the prizes presented on the podium
