Perils of Baby Sitting

come to pass

as little un disappears for

a few seconds

and in those few seconds

Baby’s found some new head gear

and is parading like a chef

around the kitchen floor

What’s been living

rent free in your garden

was a mystery

till that one day

you decided to get the wheelbarrow

from out of the space

miniature explorers set up camp

among the garden hose and fanned out rake

and were partying in the dark

while you were sleeping

The only clue to occupation

curious birds landing

on campsite rooftops
