Making a bowl of soup
or even a cup of tea
couldn’t really be called
hazardous
But when the pipes
from the water board
decide to have a breakdown
emergency measures have to be taken
so they hand out the bottles
from emergency supplies
and look out for fountains
that from tarmac does rise
but being summer – its easy
to locate the norm
kids are playing in the water
to stop being warm
