The Garden of Happiness

Based on a poem from Alicia Ostriker, Link Here

Happiness comes

from a bright sun

dropping its sunbeams

onto new green grass

creating a luscious lawn

Happiness comes

from watching the fruits

of autumns labours

drop softly to the ground

Happiness comes

from the sight of the colours

of tulips you planted in the garden

last summer – saying hello

Happiness comes

from a special friend

chasing butterflies

and a ball of wool
