born from a tiny bulb
it had big ideas for one so small
wanting to emulate its cousins
out in the rock garden
but for now, it’s quite comfortable
sat in the warmth of the lounge
and sharing a spot with the rubber plant
enjoying a regular watering and feed
and bring additional colour to the room
one day its roots will spread
even if its just to a bigger container
