If i could be anyone
I’d be that man from Medici
the one who looked up
at far off places in the sky
and using charcoal and paper
thought up wonderful flying machines
to take us to the moon and mars
Now it might take a few hundred years
to get it right
cogs and gears turning throughout the night
but watching my invention
rise up through the skies
much to the watching crowds surprise
and listening to wise one’s interject
would be for me – simply perfect
