Holding it together

#WDYS

Take a look,

To some of you

There’s a whole host of names you could call

This young person without even

thinking

Then again,

Take a look – on the other side

Thunderous applause should be given as

They hold themselves together in

The sight of adversity and what’s more

They still manage to raise a smile

  2. This poem astutely highlights the contrasting perceptions of a young person. The clever use of language prompts reflection, celebrating resilience and a radiant spirit amid adversity. Well done!
