Sprockets Springs Wheels and Cogs

#Writeclub

The wheels waited for the lever to turn

as it did so, the chain of parts moved the marble around

levers rotating cogs, while cogs turned wheels

lifting the marbles onto a ramp and

launching them at speed around the run

occasionally bouncing into the odd gear or spring to

keep the speed of the run safe for the marble

as it travelled round the structure

like a kid on the big dipper

rolling round the ramps till it ended

back where it began

ready for its ascent

to begin another run
