Where’d the birds go?

It has to be said,

the magpies are a hardy bunch

landing on the rooftops, when it seems

their other feathered chums have decided

to scoot off south to a place

where the air a few degrees warmer

and the menu is a bit more exotic than

the scattering of seed and friday nights fish and chips
