It starts slowly
as left foot follows right
and little and not so little feet
make their way to start the new term
There’s giggles and mumblings
in equal fashion
as little un’s travel to nearby nursery
and their elders go to infant and junior school
while the older kids wait by the entrance
of a school down the road
