Colours flew upward into the Manchester sky
Reds, Greens and Yellows – Not Forgetting Blues
Bringing a note of brightness to
A Collection of Northern trees
Up above birds looked on indignantly
as their friends were covered in coloured goo
but their new outfits brought smiles
to the masked artists
particularly when the colour was applied
at speed to one of their own
and they responded heartily
with a giggle
