Who let you in here?

An eager little fellow

entered into my room

he’d been sat on the guttering

trying to escape the gloom

And he hopped tween ledge and window latch

he tried and tried and tried

till he got through the open space

and chirped away with pride

Now not being one for cages

i gave him the choice he could take

opening the door to the front garden

so freedom he could break

but before he made his decision

a drop of water he had

before making a move for the garden

stay indoors now ? you must be mad!
