When the sun pops up to greet you
say Hello!
Take each day as it comes
The clouds provide the rain for the flowers
enjoy their fragrance while they’re still in bloom
and when Avis Domestica greet you
with a Meow, Bark or Tweet outside
greet them back with the same enthusiasm
Break up that timeline
enjoy a brownie or bun with your breakfast cuppa – buy a spare
(By the time you’ve traversed the office stairs
you’ll have walked it off anyway)
Sit outside on your favourite garden bench
and when the curious come calling – that spare – share it.
