Great Scott! proclaimed the narrowboat captain

over the years he’d seen many a thing traversing the

network of canals in the northern english county

doubt must have set in when an italian gondolier was seen

on the River Irwell, looking to land his paying customers by a

local tourist hotspot, green and lush and much more

accessible than the motorised crafts
