Hi Stranger, great to meet you.

Hey – come away from that computer screen

there’s something i want to show you

see this paper thing ? they call it a news paper

a news device for those who didn’t get teletext from Auntie Beeb

and were too busy for the ins and outs of breakfast tv.

I can see you’re confused

but let me explain

while you were napping in the middle of the night

the printers were happily printing

this mornings news

ready for van drivers to drop them off

at various locations

they called “Newsagents”

There were corner shops selling loads of these

As well as your sweets and chocolate

They still sell them today – and if you happen to pass a vendor

in the great metro city centre

They’re giving them away for free!
