Counting the pennies

There’s someone in my head

ringing the changes at the moment

and it’s no one you know

see my piggybank seems

quite full – but upon looking

pennies are all marked

Larder needs filling

Gas Man and Leccy paying

pots need dividing

Numbers keep turning

Piggybank is emptying

as bills keep coming

looking to heaven

for divine inspiration?

keep those pots topped up

Good news! from the bank

interest poured in this morning

rainy day money?
