reasons i cannot be a great artist

The colours of my personal palette

are healthy and alive,

there’s plenty of scenery for my canvas

to capture and thrive –

Great Buildings are simply waiting

for me to highlight the scene

whilst forests trees are sat in a huddle

all fresh and vibrant and green,

and sunlit mornings and rainbows

want me to bring brightness to call,

no matter what the season –

Summer, Spring, Winter or Fall.

But there’s a critical point i must make now –

as i cover paper with Gouache, oil, or lead…

there’s a really good rule – I’m not in that school –

simply, that I am not dead.
