Another day

Another set of dominoes

Fallen over before i’ve even set foot

on the bedroom rug

The sound of springs, as i rise

and the sound of bones, clicking

as i head for the bathroom

a dip in the water

refreshes the mind, while

downstairs

breakfast awaits

pain relief – doesnt always come

from prescription pills

the sight of a robin in the garden – brings a smile

Music coming from a refrain

chirped by resident feathered friends

saves a bob or two off the power bill

Throw in the towel ?

When i’m beating the clicks

Not on your life! Never mind mine
