When i was little
I knew where my fruit and veg came from
Apples and Pears grew on trees,
Appearing when the blossoms fell
Tomatoes were nicest when red and ripe
but there were always some things we couldn’t grow
so we visited a man or woman in the know
Peppers and Bananas and Melons and more
all available from the stallholders store
They’d pick out the best for people to try
and if they liked them – they might just buy
