Could this be the best part of the festive feast
Hopping about on the stove in a great big pan,
Remains of the Dinner, the night before are
Infusing and sharing their flavours
Sautéing away, as Greens mix with gravy and
The carrots and parsnip dance with apple and cranberry
Making a sauce, that some say is tastier than the one you spent ages preparing
And bringing it all together – those lovely roast potatoes and leftover meat
Some call it “Bubble and Squeak”, I call it an extra Christmas gift
