of the Grand Library of her seat of learning
while her chums partied celebrating Christmas dawn
some were sat with their drinks , forlorn
where was their pal ? hid away in a nook
nose in the pages of a library book
no web or e-readers electronic to deal
she’s turning the pages – enjoying the feel
returning to halls, for the festive dinner
with a book she’s been reading – one thats a winner
