Repair

The Vase sits on the kitchen table

like it ever did

holding flowers for granny

given by the kids

The Vase had been on a journey

A drop from almighty height

and had smashed itself into pieces

giving Grampa a bit of a fright

So Grandpa and others picked up pieces

and wondered what should they do

replace granny’s vase with another

or work on the jigsaw with glue?

They went for the repair option

and fixed all the pieces like one

it took them a while, but it made granny smile

after all the repair work was done

And you’d hardly notice the damage

Watertight seals on the cracks

but kept in a place in the kitchen

where its unlikely to get any whacks.
