Legend playing to the sound of falling rain
collected in created tarmac holes
as streams of music flow
puddles collect like delta down the street
it gives the pigeons a place to commute to
talk about life and relax
an impromptu birdbath for local sparrows
and as they play and splash away
a friend of the birds makes his way
spilling bird seed on the corner to excited wings
so as the sound of chirps fade out
beyond double glazing about
our feathered friends eat like kings
