With a change from Summer to Autumn
The trees that aren’t conifers are sending out a vital message
“Winters on its way!” – They say
as the forest lights switch from green to red
signalling to those creatures, that wait
that perhaps it’s time to hibernate
so forest creatures , big or small
prepare for mother natures call –
when Mercury retreats and the leaves make way
and the little Humans in the snow they play
