There’s a dragon in the garden

There’s a dragon in the garden

making people smile

he was placed on the path, by the daffodils

and he’s been there for quite a while

See when the moon is full

and made its rise

the people passing by

get a wonderful surprise

you might just be thinking

of who, what and why –

till you see the bright twinkle

in our dragons eye

then up in the night sky

he’ll fly towards the stars

and check out the neighbours

like venus and mars

and his wings you will hear

on this dark summer night

as our dragon plays out

with his friends for a flight

then when he’s all finished

he’ll land by the tree

and you’ll wonder how he travelled

off his paving all free.
