Apple and Pear

A crisp little thing

perhaps sharp but definitely clean

positioned on the fruit tree until

lopped off or dropped by the wind, when it

ends up in a pie, or mashed up for juice

Perfectly balanced in the hand

each one ready to be eaten at lunch

an alternative taste to your eating apple but

ready to be sliced up and served in a salad or a pie
