I

A sunny day on a bank holiday morn

walking through the local green

there’s not a cloud in the sky

but what’s that dark mass behind you?

nothing to fear – its only your shadow

II

Sat on a park bench, enjoying the shade of a tree

watching the local wildlife hop from branch to branch

looking out onto the duckpond, who’s that upside down?

feathers of brown, feathers of yellow

look up from the water – its mother goose and her brood

III

Reflections exhibit, Museum of Science & Industry, Manchester

Iconic Shapes, planted outside the Science Museum

create sounds of laughter for all who pass by

Seaside amusement, in the city centre

not a hall of mirrors, its more fun than that

as you and your friends lose pounds in an instant

IV

Bathroom Antics

with rubber ducks

image of your face in the soapy water

destroyed by the simple act

of dropping the soap in the bath
