Late night and Early Morning
with winters arrival
leads to one thing
wheels skidding
on icy floors
traversing pedestrians
into walls and doors
so as the mercury starts to retreat
the highways lorries start their beat
making sure the pedestrian isn’t taken for a ride
and avoiding falls and feet that slide
melting the ice on the roads with salt
so the cars at a red light dont suddenly bolt
