Icebergs

#Writeclub #Poetry #Icebergs

2nd November 2020

A piece written for the online writeclub on something a little frosty, but even they have a bit of character!

They’re floating in the sea

like unseen Bazookas

Their glacial shadows casting

over the cold blue water

as the fleet of little boats

navigate around them

Birds sing out a warning to

their fisherman friends below

Careful dear friends – its squeeky bum time!

but out in the depths – the ice mountains wail

their triangular forms weighed down in discombobulation

Its lonely out here – we only want a hug!
