Walking down the beaten track
from sandy coast to apartment
passing the locals in their flats
i’m enjoying the sun on a warm summers day
carrying a bucket of trinkets
turfed up by the ocean
by the time i get back they’ll be dried off
and i’ll have something to do
while the sun heads beyond the horizon
