Green Machine

The Green Machines in town

by B.F. Kirkham

Riding on through a northern street

Picking up the plastics and paper so neat

four urban cowboys – you’re in for a treat

The Green Machines in town

Bundling paper you would throw away

Boxing the plastics you would let go astray

and turning them into stuff – so the kids can play

The Green Machines in town

Driving down streets as quiet as can be

powered by Veggies or a battery

and refueled by solar while the ops have their tea

The Green Machines in town

The best thing about it ? Its clean Energy

and when using the veg fuel – its mostly free

so its saving the planet (or occasional tree)

The Green Machines in town

So on early mornings – its beating the sun

and its crew are loading it up as one

whether its paper (blue) or glass/plastics (brown)

you’ll recognize the almost familiar sound….

The Green Machines in town
