It hovered over the mountain
even on the sunniest of days
rainbows never ventured near
And rangers would keep a countin’
the numbers caught up in the loss of rays
as people would just disappear
Local ramblers stay on the ground
while trackers and huskies searched around
but apart from odd footprints – nothing to be found
Was something living up on that high ground
taking the climbers – without a sound ?
till they find out – they’re staying off that mound
