Rubber

I watched the ball as it dropped

onto the concrete floor

it hit the ground and changed its shape

not like it was before

It turned into an oval

in two or three kinds of shape

as the energy stored within the ball

tried its best to escape

it rose up like a rocket

heading for the air

then fell down towards the floor

without any care

and as it fell we chased it

as it bounced around the floor

and the rubber ball kept bouncing

just not as high as before
