Zest

Zingy is how you might call it

each pore of the citrus fruits skin

holds a little bit inside

and as your figures begin to split

the fruit’s smell contained therein

escaping into the room

where it does reside

enhancing the flavour into which you’ve just bit

  1. What a lovely sensory experience this would be. There was a time when I couldn’t eat oranges, or rather “digest” them properly. Nowadays, and don’t ask me why, I can eat and drink all I want. Now, I wondering…What if I put some orange peel (zest) into my smoothies every now and then? 🙂 BAM!
