The stall it caught you unawares

and for a while all you did was stare

at the sweet and flavourful things on display

you bought a bag, and made your way

your favourite things held in a bag

like some sweet toothed burglars swag

coconut, cherry, vanilla and cream

all sat in a bag – your sweet tooth’s dream

but now you find its gone half past six

and you find yourself in an almighty fix

for the sweet stuff can wait – to a degree

as dad has made sausages for tea

so you wait for a while – and enjoy your tea

whilst the cubes of sweetness wait with glee

till your taste buds start to jump and stomp

and on pieces of fudge – you do chomp
