A piece of poetry, taken from my repository on Allpoetry.com
The rotten apple of the bunch,
was saved from sentence of th’bin
it was placed inside a plot of soil
and kept warm there and in.
Now Children wondered – would it grow,
with loads of apples there in tow?
Dad he watered plot every day
So apple could try to make its way
And as the apple started to root,
from out of the ground – popped up a shoot
the apple had started its journey to be
a lovely fruitful apple tree
And leaves and branches started to take
as Dad and Children round tree did rake
and then one day – as the sun it did rise
the family had a fruity surprise!
Little Green apples hung from the tree,
occasionally pecked by a bird or a bee
these would grow – and time would fly
and then the apples – would end in a pie!
