Reflection on Christmas Day

Newbold Verdon, 25th December

The nephews replaced the alarm clock

As the Santa clauses smiled

Dashing down the stairwell

To see what the real Santa had brought

Toys and gifts from far and wide

Bringing smiles to little faces

Before watching a film while

Tea cooked away in the oven

And a special something cooked upon the hob
