night skies

Thursday 6 December 2018

A rewrite of a poem i scribbled back in August 2010, the view inspired me to share it with you.

The moon plays hide and seek

as the air drops

casting a line of cloud

on the dark satin sheet of night

On occasion, peeking through

the sheet of cloud he yells peek a boo

joining his neon friends, painting the night

shades of pink, yellow and white

as hours follow minutes as seconds pass by

and animals make noise on the land and the sky

as to this day, we bid a fond goodbye
