Rainbows

#colour

I’ve never thought of

The humble little raindrop

As artistic

But when the sun shines down

Over a rainy overcast sky

It does something….quite spectacular

Spreading its rays with the rain

Like a fine brush

A palette of seven stunning colours, from

Violet to red

Cascading the colours

Out of the white

Landing as a bow, from one end

Of the horizon to the other

Until the sun decides its time to

Retreat

Bringing some colour to

A once rainy day

A sign that soon

It’ll be time to play
