Moon II

Satellite Moon travels round the land
flooding the darkness with light that is grand
compared to the planet, its not far away
and scientists watch it at night at play

Appearing bright white, in the darkness of night
Illuminating down on the earth
the satellite moon looks down
at the place of our birth

Crescent one moment, and Full faced the next
some moonwatchers sit there vexed
where does the moon turn its head to so
as the shadow turns to and fro

And sometimes if you look up
at the moon in its place
you might spot his eyes
looking down, full faced!
