I ask the question, simply enough
as only a whistle i hear as they swoop among the clouds
targeting their seeds or a juicy worm
as they swoop on a patch of green turf
under the cover of a passing motor car
the poor old worm hasn’t a chance
much more hope with a fish
mission accomplished ? – when you hear our hero
chirping away after an impromptu lunch
