Froth

Salford 12th April 2018

From time to time,

Realities of bringing a coffee to life come into view

Out of nowhere, people demanded posh coffee

The buzzwords of the day “latte” or “Cappucino”

Hell on earth for the poor overworked cafetiere

For days on end

Round-about temp – amassing to “what on earth” – as

Out of its innards came water and milk

The demand was over the top, as the coffee

House bursted out at the seams

Filling up the orders as they cued up – down the

Road, tasting the latest thing the store owners could provide

Occassionally, it would get a break – as a barista

Took a moment, to clean him up

Heaven

Finally, the day was over

Reality –

out of the emptiness of the store

there was a moment of calm – peace till the morning

he’d appreciate the silence
