Storms a Passing

From the Archive at Allpoetry.com, thought i’d share this one – a poem on the rain!

The field needs a watering
so nature gives a hand
layering the clouds so
they’re above the land

As sun heads off
to the other side of the world
the pockets of clouds are
about to be unfurled

dropping the contents
onto fields that are green
growing the veggies
the peas, potatoes and beans

And as water falls
it refreshes the soil
so the farmer has no problems
and his plough does not toil

But the best thing of the night
apart from the moon
is the red sky of evening
good weathers coming soon
