I’ve never got my head around this

from Lancashire to Yorkshire, from Spain to Greece

I’d sit in amusement

as master chefs who made the grade,

cooking food as a show,  Practicing their trade

toasting a poor citrus slice – within an inch of its life

(and occasionally catching the chef – causing strife)

presented with fish or meat with salad on wood –

it never really tasted how it should

the foodanistas would praise it constantly on the net

but do the same things at home – No – i’d bet

instead they post a falsehood on twitter

as burnt citrus isn’t tasty – it’s really quite bitter!
