Hibernating

Bedtime

The sun has popped over the other side of the globe

As the moon watches on.

Its time for little ones to head off to bed

“I Wanna bedtime story!” says one little bear,

“I’m not sleepy!” says another

So, by the mouth of the cave – and snug as a bug

I tell them a tale, and watch them drift off on clouds to the land of nod

Two little bears, dreaming of adventures

that they’ll have when the sun pops up to say hello.

Till then – they’ll hibernate till morning.

  1. Hey, Brian ! A lovely piece of poetry. Thanks for bringing me here. I somehow am so obsessed with moon that almost everything that I write has a mention of it….and night too. 😁
